A fire at a Garhwa firecracker shop in Jharkhand has resulted in the deaths of at least five individuals, including three children, authorities confirmed on Monday.

The incident, which took place around 12:30 p.m., occurred as crackers were being sold from a wooden platform, according to Ranka SDPO Rohit Ranjan Singh.

Though the cause remains undetermined, both Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren have expressed their condolences and assured the investigation is underway.
