Kashmir Unveils Asia's Largest Tulip Extravaganza
Asia's largest tulip garden in Kashmir, spanning 55 hectares, has opened to the public, signaling the beginning of a new tourism season. With 17 lakh tulip bulbs on display, the garden attracts tourists worldwide, celebrating Kashmir's natural beauty and diverse botanical varieties.

Kashmir's enchanting Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden has once again opened its gates to the public, marking the onset of a new season for tourism in the Valley. Spanning 55 hectares, this grand floral display involves over 17 lakh tulip bulbs, capturing the awe of tourists and local visitors alike.
Positioned majestically between Dal Lake and the Zabarwan Hills, the stunning garden was inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Tulip Show-2025. Abdullah emphasized the garden's role as a global attraction, drawing nature enthusiasts to experience the breathtaking floral spectacle amidst Kashmir's vivid landscapes.
This year, the garden features two new tulip varieties, amassing a total of 74 floral types, including hyacinths and daffodils. Originally founded by Ghulam Nabi Azad in 2007, the garden's popularity continues to grow, with more than 4.65 lakh visitors last year. As tourists revel in its vibrant colors, Kashmir reaffirms its status as 'Paradise on Earth.'
