Delhi's Cultural Metamorphosis: A Roadmap to Tourism and Film Renaissance

The Delhi government unveils an ambitious roadmap for 2025-26, aiming to transform the city into a tourism and film production hub. Plans include heritage walks, infrastructural upgrades, and policy reforms to attract five lakh tourists. Key initiatives involve garden beautification and expanding film policy outreach.

In a dynamic push towards making Delhi a premier destination for tourism and filmmaking, the Delhi government has laid out an ambitious roadmap for 2025-26. Initiatives range from curated heritage walks to policy reforms, each aimed at attracting five lakh tourists to the bustling capital this year.

The Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) has earmarked Rs 20 crore to promote Delhi as a prime travel spot. Enhancements include participating in 18 national and international events, up from 16 last year, and increasing both fairs and festivals from 7 to 12, raising expected visitors from 3.5 lakh to 5 lakh.

Infrastructure improvements also play a crucial role. A New Tourist Information Counter is planned at IGI Airport Terminal-III to assist international arrivals. Other initiatives involve beautifying key areas like the Garden of Five Senses and launching new heritage walks, all to give tourists an immersive and broad-ranging experience of Delhi.
