The Delhi government is pulling out all stops to ensure a grand celebration of Chhath Puja across more than 1,300 ghats, according to a statement by Delhi minister Kapil Mishra. Special focus is being placed on the Yamuna river, with inspections conducted by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena and Culture Minister Mishra to monitor preparations.

Mishra emphasized the commitment to deliver a clean, safe, and culturally enriching experience for all devotees. He noted that this year's event is the first of its kind under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's leadership and promised that arrangements for cleanliness, lighting, security, and traffic management will be completed on time to cater to all attendees.

The Chhath Puja festival, spanning four days from October 25 to October 28, is dedicated to the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya. The Delhi government has highlighted this year's celebration as a matter of pride, enabling devotees, especially from Purvanchal, to perform traditional rituals along the Yamuna banks.
