In an exciting new initiative, Govardhan Ecovillage has partnered with Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts & Nutritional Sciences, Jay Shetty Philanthropy, and Govardhan School of Culinary Arts to launch a national contest celebrating culinary heritage.

Dubbed the 'Flavours of Our Roots – Indigenous Recipes Contest for a Healthier Planet,' it highlights India's rich food traditions by inviting participants to create satvik, vegetarian dishes that exclude onion and garlic. The focal point is on indigenous ingredients like Horsegram, Purple Yam, and Mahua Flowers, reflecting a commitment to zero hunger and good health.

Open to diverse participants, including home cooks and chefs, entries will be judged in December, culminating in a cook-off and award ceremony. This initiative underscores efforts to revive forgotten local foods, fostering both cultural appreciation and sustainable dietary habits.
