Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to B R Ambedkar on his 69th death anniversary, deeming the architect of the Indian Constitution a beacon for equality and justice. He addressed measures to protect Ambedkar's statues from vandalism, underscoring Ambedkar's enduring influence in Indian governance.

Adityanath criticized appeasement politics that undermine Ambedkar's legacy and Indian interests. He announced plans to enclose Ambedkar's statues within protective boundary walls, and install canopies for uncovered statues, ensuring their preservation against acts of defacement.

The Chief Minister also announced infrastructural improvements, including the connectivity of unlinked settlements and a focus on Dalit and tribal integration. The state's 'Zero Poverty Mission' was highlighted, with promises of a guaranteed minimum honorarium for various workers in the near future, continuing Ambedkar's mission for social empowerment.
