A motorcycle expedition named the 'Ride for Valour' recently concluded in Kolkata. Organized by the Army's Eastern Command, the rally commemorated India's historic win in the 1971 War against Pakistan.
Starting on November 25, participants from all Northeastern states gathered in Guwahati for the official December 1 kickoff. Covering over 1,350 kilometers, bikers traversed through strategic locations like Dimapur, Tezpur, and Shillong.
The journey included somber tributes to fallen soldiers with wreath-laying ceremonies at several war memorials. Seventy-one service and seventy-one civilian riders were part of this ceremonial event, culminating at Vijay Smarak.
