Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has called on both industries and citizens to prioritize cleanliness, maintaining that it is crucial for the tourism-dependent state's growth. His remarks came during the state-level Goa Liberation Day parade near Panaji.
Commending the Central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their developmental contributions, Sawant inspected the parade, unfurling the tricolour in front of cabinet ministers and distinguished guests. He emphasized the role of newly commissioned waste management plants in handling e-waste and hazardous materials efficiently.
By urging residents and businesses alike to avoid unscientific waste disposal, the CM appealed for collective responsibility in upholding the state's beauty and serenity. He encouraged everyone to contribute towards achieving the visions of 'Vikasit Bharat' (Developed India) and 'Vikasit Goa' (Developed Goa).
