The Blacklist Season 6 spoilers: President likely to stop Red’s execution, Season 7 renewed by NBC

The Blacklist Season 6 won’t reveal real identity of Red Reddington. He is likely to be seen in Season 7, thus his execution is believed to be stopped by the President.

The Blacklist Season 6 episode 11 titled ‘Bastien Moreau’ was aired on March 15. The plot seems to take a new twist as Raymond Reddington aka Red (James Spader) is likely to confront the end of his life with the application of lethal injection. The good news for everyone is that Season 7 has already been renewed by NBC.

A big question – Will Red die in The Blacklist Season 6 episode 12 titled ‘Bastien Moreau: Conclusion’? Or he will be seen in The Blacklist Season 7? One of the major mysteries of this crime thriller television series is his real identity. Fans have constantly wondering to know ‘who is this man’? Jon Bokenkamp, the series creator was recently asked by TV Insider if the series would end without revealing the real identity of this man, he said in reply, “I don’t think so. I think it’s over when we know the truth. When we have the answers, it’s over.”

According to Jon, when the big answers arrive, the series will mark its end. But he didn’t give hint when the answer will be given. And now since The Blacklist Season 7 has been renewed, it’s for sure the remaining episodes of Season 6 are not going to reveal the real identity of Red.

As far as Red’s execution via lethal injection is concerned, the preview of upcoming The Blacklist Season 6 episode 12 (slated to air on March 22) shows him lying over the bed. ‘Only 60 seconds left for Red’s execution’, the preview shows. Then he is also asked if ‘he is having any final word’. Does it mean the injection will be pushed inside his vein? Watch the trailer below to get to know more of it.

But we believe Red will be seen in The Blacklist Season 7. Now we need to wait and watch how he is being saved from the death penalty. Will the President be convinced to call and stop his execution?
