The demonstrations targeted 117 bank branches, with Opposition Leader Ambadas Danve accusing banks of prioritizing businessmen's loans over those of farmers.

He criticized the banks for delaying farmers' loan applications due to CIBIL scores and repayment capacity, while quickly waiving off crores for businessmen. Danve emphasized that the government must expedite loan processes for farmers, particularly given the ongoing drought conditions.

The party issued a stern warning through X, stating that banks should not expect peaceful demonstrations if they fail to speed up farm loan disbursement.
