Haryana Set for Crucial Assembly Elections on October 1

In the wake of the Haryana Assembly election announcement, former Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced on Friday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is confident of forming the government for the third consecutive time, citing a loss of public faith in Congress. The election for 90 assembly constituencies will take place on October 1, with the vote count scheduled for October 4, as confirmed by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar.

Expressing his views on the upcoming elections, Khattar stated, 'I welcome the announcement. Our workers have been preparing, and under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, we are set to form the government once again in Haryana.' He further remarked that the BJP's previous initiatives against crime, corruption, and caste politics have resonated with the public.

While BJP leaders like Nayab Singh Saini echoed confidence in securing another victory, Congress leaders, including Chaudhary Birender Singh and Pawan Khera, have strongly refuted these claims, asserting their own preparedness. As electoral dynamics heat up, Haryana could witness a four-way contest involving BJP, Congress, JJP, and AAP. The electorate includes 2.01 crore voters, with a notable number of first-time and young voters set to participate.
