Fico highlighted Slovakia's essential interest in these energy routes, amid pressure from the European Commission to halt such supply flows.

Speaking before an upcoming meeting between Slovak and Ukrainian cabinets, Fico reiterated Slovakia's stance to Ukrainian partners.
