IT-DURGA PUJA

The Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS) has asked major Durga Puja organisers of the state to furnish expenditure details incurred during the festival last year. A notice was sent to them on December 21, 2018, and asked them to report to the IT office tomorrow. The notice was served under section 133(6) of IT Act. The organisers were required to furnish their PAN, TAN, details of funds receipt and expenditure during 2018, and details of expenditure break-up and the same for the previous fiscal.
