Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday expressed strong confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party's anticipated success in the upcoming 2025 Municipal Corporation Elections. During a press conference, Sai criticized the Congress party, pointing out incongruities between their actions and rhetoric.
Emphasizing past achievements, the CM noted, "We will win. We had succeeded in the Vidhan Sabha by-elections too. There have been significant developmental works over the last 13 months, and people's faith in the BJP has increased." He added that the public's trust in Congress has dwindled due to perceived contradictions in their statements and actions.
Polling commenced for 10 Municipal Corporations, 49 Municipal Councils, and 114 Nagar Panchayats at 8 am on Tuesday, continuing until 5 pm. With 44.74 lakh eligible voters, the vote counting is scheduled for February 15. The Election Commission has organized 597 polling stations for this election.
