In the aftermath of the Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is undertaking a major restructuring of its core and frontal wings, as announced by senior leader Gopal Rai. This strategic move underlines AAP's commitment to serving as a formidable opposition force in the political arena.
Gopal Rai detailed a meeting with state office bearers from key party segments including the Purvanchal, auto, and women's wings to discuss this restructuring effort. The initiative aims to fortify the party's operation across various sectors, ensuring its readiness to hold the government accountable.
Criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was a focal point, especially concerning unfulfilled election promises like the Rs 2,500 financial assistance for women in Delhi. AAP leaders accused the ruling BJP of sidestepping their commitments and called for action, while Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the state's participation in the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
