In a recent salvo against the Narendra Modi-led government, Congress General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP KC Venugopal has raised questions about the integrity of India's electoral process. Through social media platform X, Venugopal critiqued Prime Minister Modi and the BJP, questioning whether the PM would listen to former US President Donald Trump's recommendations on electoral reforms.

Venugopal urged Modi to address the nation's concerns about electoral integrity, citing Trump's comments on adopting paper ballots and same-day voting, along with voter ID and citizenship proof. The Congress leader further highlighted voter list discrepancies in Maharashtra and alleged 'surgical deletions' targeted at opposition votes.

Adding to his critique, Venugopal condemned the appointment of a new Central Election Commissioner, suggesting it bypassed constitutional spirit and Supreme Court mandates. He accused the government of circumventing transparency, raising issues about potential electoral manipulations including tampering with voting schedules and fake voter lists to favor the BJP.
