Bihar BJP Criticizes RJD's Reservation Record Amidst Political Tensions

Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party President Dilip Jaiswal launched a sharp critique of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its leader Tejashwi Yadav, questioning the party's historical record on reservations. Jaiswal challenged the RJD's tenure, asking if people benefitted from reservations, and highlighted Yadav's opposition when current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar implemented reservation measures.

Jaiswal took aim at Yadav, labeling him a hypocrite due to his conviction in the fodder scam. These comments underscore the BJP's attempt to spotlight perceived RJD failures and Yadav's role in Bihar's political dynamics. Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav, via a social media post on Platform X, accused the BJP of undermining reservation efforts in the state, alleging a failure to include a significant 65% reservation in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution.

Yadav further alleged the BJP's neglect of Bihar in the Union budget, citing omitted financial aid and special status. The RJD criticized the central government's perceived failure to address key state issues, including migration, health, and disaster relief, warning that the BJP and NDA would face accountability in the 2025 elections.
