The Kremlin has reaffirmed its commitment to a moratorium on targeting energy infrastructure in Ukraine, despite allegations of ongoing Ukrainian attacks on Russian sites. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that both Russia and the U.S. are closely monitoring the situation and can independently assess any developments.
The moratorium follows an agreement between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former U.S. President Donald Trump for a 30-day ceasefire on Ukrainian energy targets. Peskov confirmed that no new orders have been issued to alter the ceasefire arrangement at this point.
Meanwhile, a fire at an oil depot in Russia's Krasnodar region has entered its fifth day, reportedly caused by a drone attack attributed to Ukraine. The regional administration continues its efforts to extinguish the blaze amid the ongoing geopolitical tensions.
