Hungary's government is taking steps to safeguard its workforce and manufacturing sector in response to a trade agreement established between the United States and the European Union. Prime Minister Viktor Orban disclosed the plans during a broadcast on state Kossuth radio.
Orban highlighted Hungary's significant economic ties with the United States, noting that exports to the US currently stand at approximately $11 billion annually. Ensuring that businesses which export to the American market are not forced to downsize or halt operations is crucial, he emphasized.
The proactive measures by the Hungarian government underline the importance of maintaining economic stability and protecting vital industry jobs, particularly in light of evolving international trade dynamics.
