German engine maker Deutz in deal to fund defence startup Arx Robotics
German engine maker Deutz said on Thursday it would provide funding for Defence startup Arx Robotics under an extension of their collaboration. The funding round, to be completed in the coming weeks, will see Deutz become a minority shareholder, according to a statement.
Spiegel magazine reported earlier on Thursday that Arx Robotics' autonomous tracked vehicles would be built at Deutz's plant in the city of Ulm, while Deutz would supply engines to Munich-based Arx. Arx has also previously tied up with Daimler Truck . (Writing by Matthias Williams Editing by Ludwig Burger)
