Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha joined the ranks of dignitaries at the Matabari Temple on Monday to celebrate the Diwali festival. The event, attended by Finance Minister Ranjit Saha Roy and Tourism Minister Sushanta Deb, focused on praying for the well-being of the populace.

In an interaction with ANI, CM Saha remarked on the temple's significance, noting an uptick in tourism following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on September 22. 'On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Kali Puja is celebrated in Tripura and West Bengal,' said Saha, highlighting expectations of sizable turnout at the three-day festival. He also shared insights on his visit to Adi Nagar for celebrations organized by Tripura police.

Saha posted about witnessing the police-organized vow in worship of Ma Kali on X, expressing unity in the Diwali festivities. Known as the festival of lights, Diwali symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. It's a five-day journey from Dhanteras to Bhai Dooj, each day carrying distinct significance. Meanwhile, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini celebrated with family prayers and by visiting an old age home, spreading Diwali cheer in Panchkula.
