On Thursday, Russia's Foreign Ministry criticized the United States for imposing energy sanctions, labeling them as highly counterproductive in the quest for peace in Ukraine.
Speaking to reporters, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reiterated that Russia's goals in the Ukraine conflict remain steadfast.
Zakharova also highlighted the necessity of addressing the underlying causes of the ongoing conflict to find a lasting resolution.
