Security measures have been significantly intensified in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, marking the 33rd anniversary of the Babri Mosque demolition in 1992. The city's Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque has been designated a high-security zone.

Senior officials report that rigorous security checks are ongoing across the city, and forces remain highly vigilant to avert any disruptions. Mathura Superintendent of Police (Crime), Avnish Mishra, emphasized the importance of identity verification, ensuring only authorized individuals access sensitive areas. 'Our forces are on full alert,' Mishra stated, confirming normal traffic and school operations despite heightened security.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar elaborated on the comprehensive security strategy, noting the inclusion of local and external police forces, the PAC, and the RAF. 'Flag marches and intensive checks at strategic locations ensure public safety,' Kumar informed, highlighting the proactive suppression of potential law and order threats.

Security efforts are mirrored in Varanasi, with personnel safeguarding the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The Babri Masjid demolition, conducted by 'kar sevaks', led to widespread riots and significant loss of life, shaping the need for these precautionary measures.
