In a significant achievement that places Maharashtra prominently on the global clean-energy map, Mahavitaran (MSEDCL) has set a new Guinness World Record by installing 45,911 solar agricultural pumps within just 30 days. This remarkable feat is part of the state's 'Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump' initiative.
Nagpur-based cleantech company, Rite Water Solutions, emerged as a key player in this success story. Despite entering the solar pumping segment less than two years ago, the company completed 2,497 installations, establishing itself among the top contributors to this historic effort and cementing its place as a major force in the renewable sector.
Founder and Managing Director, Abhijeet Gaan, expressed pride in Rite Water's role, emphasizing the profound impact of solar-powered irrigation in transforming rural livelihoods. By reducing electricity bills and diesel expenses, the initiative not only aids farmers but also strengthens the financial health of power utilities by easing the load on rural grids.
