Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, expressed gratitude to the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) on their Raising Day. In a heartfelt post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister lauded the NDRF personnel for their unwavering professionalism and determination, emphasizing their pivotal role in disaster response and recovery efforts. Modi recognized the force's commitment to safeguarding lives and fostering hope during times of crisis.

Highlighting the global respect the NDRF has garnered, Modi described the force as a benchmark in disaster preparedness. He praised their skills and sense of duty as exemplifying the highest service standards. Accompanying his message were photographs showcasing NDRF members actively engaged in relief operations, further underscoring their critical contributions in challenging circumstances.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to the NDRF on their Raising Day, acknowledging their essential role in building a disaster-resilient India. Shah commended the NDRF as a 'pillar of trust' during calamities and honored those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The NDRF, established on January 19, 2006, consists of 16 battalions and multiple regional centers, strategically deployed to respond to both natural and man-made disasters nationwide.
