In a groundbreaking initiative, Telangana's Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, convened at the sacred site of Medaram Jatara, marking the first time a Cabinet meeting has taken place at a tribal religious site. This move underscores the state government's commitment to being a 'people's government and a government of the poor,' as articulated by the attending ministers.

The meeting focused on several developmental initiatives, including large-scale infrastructure and temple development, aimed at revitalizing the Medaram region. Ministers revealed that the Chief Minister personally inaugurated key projects, with a total investment of Rs 251 crores sanctioned for the festival's development, highlighting the administration's determination to prioritize tribal welfare and respect their traditions.

Coinciding with this, the Cabinet also decided to expedite upcoming municipal elections across the state. The elections will involve 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations. With Ramadan and Maha Shivaratri scheduled for February, officials have been tasked with ensuring the electoral process proceeds without disruption, demonstrating the Cabinet's proactive approach to governance.
