The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Principal Bench, New Delhi, has issued an interim order in the ongoing KJS Cement family dispute, offering partial relief to the legal heirs of the late KJS Ahluwalia. This comes as broader allegations of oppression and mismanagement await detailed review.

Following the death of KJS Ahluwalia in October 2021, his legal heirs, including daughter Himangini Singh and wife Manjula Ahluwalia, along with associated entities, filed a petition claiming they were marginalized from management activities. The petition outlines accusations against Pawan Kumar Ahluwalia, the deceased's younger brother, of oppressive acts and mismanagement.

The Tribunal dismissed arguments regarding the case's maintainability under Sections 241-242 of the Companies Act and ruled in favor of transferring 55,97,768 shares to the legal heirs. Other allegations, including those of forgery and corporate mismanagement, remain under tribunal scrutiny with proceedings to continue in 2026.
