The IAEA confirmed that Iran reported the incident, stating the projectile hit the premises of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant on Tuesday evening. Despite the strike, operations continued without a hitch, and no injuries to staff were recorded. This development occurs during the third week of escalating tensions between the U.S. and Israel against Iran.

IAEA Chief Rafael Grossi reiterated his appeal for maximum restraint amid the ongoing conflict to prevent the risk of a nuclear accident. Additionally, Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation confirmed the strike earlier, with the local Tasnim news agency reporting that the projectile impacted near the nuclear facility at around 7 p.m. in the port city of Bushehr. Meanwhile, Russian state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom condemned the attack but noted that radiation levels in the area remain normal.
