The initial attack led to the partial collapse of a residential building, prompting immediate rescue operations. Follow-up strikes during daylight hours further jeopardized the safety of emergency workers, claiming additional lives and causing extensive damage. Governor Oleksandr Hanzha detailed the harrowing sequence of events in a Telegram update.
Amidst the chaos, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko condemned the attacks, emphasizing Russia’s calculated targeting of civilians. The Ukrainian air force managed to intercept a significant portion of the drones and missiles. As tensions rise, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged international allies for enhanced defense support.
