The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President, Nitin Nabin, confidently predicted the party's victory in the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections. He directed sharp criticisms towards Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of fostering a culture of hooliganism. Nabin asserted that the citizens of West Bengal will deliver a decisive verdict on May 4, coinciding with the counting day.

Nabin highlighted positive developments following the appointment of senior economist Dr. Ashok Lahiri, a native of West Bengal, as the Vice Chairperson of NITI Aayog. He emphasized that the move would significantly benefit the state and herald in brighter days ahead. Complementing Nabin's remarks, BJP MP and star campaigner Manoj Tiwari launched a scathing attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), asserting that Mamata Banerjee's governance is nearing its end.

During a rally in Hooghly, Tiwari placed strong emphasis on the need for women's empowerment and improved healthcare access for the poor. He presented the BJP as a potential alternative for governance, advocating for a 'double-engine' government—alignment of the ruling party's presence at both central and state levels. With Phase I of the elections concluding and Phase II scheduled for April 29, the high voter turnout reinforces an engaged electorate, setting the stage for the May 4 vote count.
