China appointed Liu Haoling as deputy chair of the securities regulator, according to a statement from the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) on Wednesday.
The announcement came as several financial regulatory officials were targeted in China's years-long anti-corruption drive as Beijing works to improve the image of its regulatory authorities and draw in global investors.
