Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday, alleging collaboration with the Election Commission of India (ECI). Kharge accused the BJP of rejoicing prematurely due to perceived allegiance from the Chief Election Commissioner, following Wednesday's exit poll results.
Kharge stated, 'The BJP's joy stems from having the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, on their side, as delimitation has favored their interests. However, the ultimate decision rests with the people, and the results on May 4 could be surprising.'
While Axis My India exit polls suggest dominant support for alliances in Tamil Nadu, other projections highlight potential victories for the DMK-led coalition, according to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. He expressed confidence in Congress-led UDF triumph in Kerala despite mixed predictions.
Kharge also questioned Defence Minister Rajnath Singh over remarks on India by US President Donald Trump at the ANI National Security Summit 2.0, asking why India's leaders have not addressed Trump's derogatory comments.
