An unfortunate incident occurred in Maharashtra's Beed district where an 80-year-old farmer lost his life while attempting to rescue his livestock during a fire at a shed on his farm. The tragedy unfolded in the village of Maha Repewadi in the Dharur tehsil.

The fire broke out on Tuesday evening, quickly engulfing the structure with only one entry-exit point, trapping farmer Rambhau Eknath Repe and his animals inside. Despite his valiant efforts to save the livestock, the wooden roof of the shed collapsed, leading to the death of Repe and his animals - eight bovines, 15 goats, and nearly 150 poultry birds.

Fire brigade personnel swiftly responded, extinguishing the blaze. Dharur Tehsildar Shrikant Nile conducted an on-site damage assessment. Villagers have called for immediate compensation and assistance from the government for Repe's family.
