In a heartfelt post on platform X, Gandhi highlighted Hegde's invaluable contributions to the party and his mentorship of young members, marking his passing as an irreplaceable loss to the Congress family.
Gandhi remarked, "Deeply saddened by the passing of Suraj Hegde ji. His role as AICC Secretary and former Indian Youth Congress in-charge were more than duties, they were his passions."
