Under the focused anti-cyber fraud initiative known as 'Operation Cy Hawk', the South-East District of the Delhi Police achieved a significant breakthrough. A team from the Okhla Industrial Area police post dismantled an organized gang responsible for duping Flipkart vendors through complex manipulations of online delivery systems. In this operation, four individuals were apprehended, including three insiders and a receiver of stolen goods. The bust led to the recovery of artificial jewellery valued at approximately ₹6.5 lakh.

The investigation began after Wercatalist Pvt. Ltd., a logistics partner for Flipkart, filed a complaint. Their internal audit revealed multiple incidents of high-value jewellery consignments arriving tampered or empty at their warehouse in Sanjay Colony, Okhla Phase-II. Responding promptly, an FIR was registered at the Okhla Industrial Area police station, triggering a comprehensive investigation.

As the investigation unfolded, it was discovered that the accused—Arpit Kashyap and Akash Rathore, both pickup staff, along with tempo driver Mohit Kumar—conspired to exploit vendor portal access and parcel movement systems. They orchestrated the creation of fraudulent high-value pickup orders, collected genuine consignments, and, prior to warehouse deposit, canceled orders to remove jewelry before repackaging and depositing the parcels as if undisturbed. The recovered items were sold at reduced prices to Anmol Poddar, who bought them without proper documentation or source verification.

The investigative team employed a combination of technical analysis and rigorous field verification, examining vendor portal activities, parcel movement logs, and digital evidence to unravel the consistent fraudulent pattern. Four accused were arrested: Arpit Kashyap, Akash Rathore, Mohit Kumar, and Anmol Poddar. The operation not only recovered the stolen items but also fortified public trust in the Delhi Police's proactive approach to emerging cyber crimes, showcasing a synergy of technical, forensic, and field expertise.
