Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a stinging attack on the BJP-led Central government following the deaths of three Indian sailors due to a US military strike. She urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring up this critical issue with US President Donald Trump during the ongoing G7 Summit.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Geneva for the G7 Summit, hosted by France from June 15 to 17 at Évian-les-Bains, marking India's 13th involvement as a partner country and Modi's seventh consecutive appearance.
Vadra's remarks came after the US forces attacked the commercial tanker MT Settebello in the Gulf of Oman, killing three Indian sailors, while sparing 21 others. The US accused the vessel of breaching a naval blockade on Iranian ports, prompting sharp criticism from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and a protest lodged by India's Ministry of External Affairs with the US Charge d’Affaires.
