The European Union announced on Monday that it has imposed sanctions on five Israeli individuals and three entities, citing 'serious and systematic human rights abuses' against Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Among those sanctioned are Ben-Zion Gopstein, leader of the Lehava organisation, and Isaschar Manne, founder of an unauthorized outpost in the West Bank. The list also includes Tzav 9, a group accused of obstructing humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Sanctions include asset freezes and travel bans. This action is part of the EU Global Human Rights Sanctions Regime, which has now sanctioned 113 natural and legal persons and 31 entities.
