Delhi's Drone Initiative: A New Frontier in Mosquito Control

Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi launched a groundbreaking initiative on Monday, deploying drones for spraying anti-mosquito chemicals in the waterlogged areas of the city.

The new drone-based spraying system was inaugurated in the Narela zone, starting with ward number 33, Rani Khera, as a proactive measure to curb diseases such as dengue and malaria, according to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Oberoi highlighted the challenge of waterlogging due to recent heavy rains, emphasizing the safety and efficiency of drones over traditional methods in hard-to-reach areas. The campaign's success relies on increased public awareness and cooperation to resolve drainage issues.
