A tragic shooting at former US President Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday resulted in one attendee succumbing to injuries, CNN reported, citing Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger. The shooter was neutralized by the Secret Service, with CNN attributing this information to a Secret Service insider.

District Attorney Goldinger further mentioned that Trump sustained an ear injury but would be fine, and was promptly escorted by the US Secret Service. Another rally attendee remains in serious condition, according to official statements cited by CNN.

The incident, coming just months before the 2024 US presidential elections, disrupted the rally held in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump was quickly removed from stage by Secret Service agents and taken away in a motorcade, as reported by CBS News.

Videos circulating on social media show Trump bleeding from his ear, although no official confirmation has been made. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said protective measures are in place and the incident is under active investigation.

Guglielmi confirmed Trump's safety, adding, "An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe." More details will be released as the investigation progresses.
