Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics unveiled the 2023 Social Survey data, focusing on Preventive Medicine, specifically Immunizations and Medical Examinations for Early Detection of Malignant Diseases.
The data reveals that 90% of parents with children aged 0-17 follow routine vaccination schedules. Conversely, 6.1% either sporadically vaccinate or do not vaccinate at all. Among those aged 50 and older, 43% underwent stool tests in the previous year to detect intestinal issues, including colon cancer.
Additionally, 47% of individuals aged 40 and above have undergone a colonoscopy for colorectal cancer detection, with 35% being tested in the past five years. Mammography screenings in the last two years covered 77% of women aged 50-76, while 59% of women aged 25-57 had a Pap smear within the past three years for cervical cancer detection.
