Tel Aviv [Israel], August 1 (ANI/TPS): The Israeli army sustained its offensive in the southern Gaza cities of Khan Yunis and Rafah over the past day, the Israel Defense Forces announced on Thursday morning. Key targets included loaded launchers aimed at Israel in Khan Yunis.

In Rafah's Tel al-Sultan neighborhood, troops intensified their pressure on Hamas, dismantling a structure rigged with explosives and utilized by Hamas. Concurrently, Israeli forces advanced operations in central Gaza. The Air Force successfully struck several armed Hamas squads that posed an imminent threat to soldiers.

Israeli Air Force operations extended to approximately 35 targets across Gaza, hitting armed squads, military structures, and critical terror infrastructure. The October 7 Hamas attacks resulted in over 1,200 deaths, and 252 hostages, including Israelis and foreigners. Of the 115 remaining hostages, 39 have been declared dead. Hamas has also held two Israeli civilians and the bodies of two soldiers since 2014 and 2015. (ANI/TPS)
