Al Arish [Egypt], August 28 (ANI/WAM): The UAE has performed advanced medical procedures for wounded Palestinians at its floating hospital in Al Arish, part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. This initiative seeks to mitigate the suffering of Palestinians, with a focus on complex surgeries and prosthetics.

The Prosthetics Centre at the floating hospital is currently fitting artificial limbs for patients who have lost limbs during the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Measurements have already been taken for seven patients, with plans to finalize procedures for an additional 25. Patients are concurrently receiving physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

The hospital's medical team recently conducted a successful hip replacement for Suha, a 35-year-old patient, allowing her to return to normal life after two months of follow-up care. Such surgeries, typically performed at specialized hospitals, were a significant achievement for the floating facility.

Since its inception on February 24, 2024, the hospital has conducted 1,263 surgeries, overseen by an Emirati medical team from various specialties. The Prosthetics Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art medical devices, underscoring the UAE's commitment to supporting the injured.

These efforts reflect the UAE's dedication to easing the suffering of Palestinians amid dire conditions in the Gaza Strip. (ANI/WAM)
