India-Mauritius Forge Strong Ties as INS Imphal Joins National Day Parade
Indian and Mauritian contingents braved rains for a rehearsal at Champ de Mars, preceding Mauritius' 57th National Day. INS Imphal's maiden visit highlights India-Mauritius defence ties, engaging in numerous bilateral activities. Indian PM Modi will attend as Chief Guest, emphasizing strong diplomatic relations.

Despite inclement weather, contingents from Mauritius and the Indian Navy conducted a full dress rehearsal at Champ de Mars, ahead of Mauritius' 57th National Day celebrations. An Indian naval representative expressed pride in their participation, anticipating a successful march past.
INS Imphal's inaugural visit to Port Louis underscores the strengthening of India-Mauritius defence relations. Arriving on March 10, the ship will join the National Day events on March 12, continuing a tradition of Indian naval involvement in such ceremonies.
The naval lineup will include a marching unit, band, and helicopter flypast. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's presence as Chief Guest reflects the robust diplomatic ties between the nations. During its stay, INS Imphal will participate in bilateral exercises, promoting maritime security and cooperation.
