In a significant philanthropic effort, the Endowments and Minors' Trust Foundation in Dubai (AWQAF Dubai) and Al Jalila Foundation, affiliated with the Dubai Health Authority, have joined forces to support cancer patients through a new development. The initiative, inspired by the charitable spirit of Dubai's leadership, aims to create a sustainable endowment dedicated to patient care at the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, with a projected cost surpassing AED 38.5 million.

The collaboration was officially cemented with an agreement between AWQAF Dubai and Al Jalila Foundation. The plan includes erecting a seven-story endowment building in Dubai South on land valued at AED 8.5 million, owned by Al Jalila Foundation, with construction expenses estimated at AED 30 million to be covered by the foundation over 16 months. Once completed, both the building and the property will remain as a perpetual endowment managed by AWQAF Dubai, aiming to generate revenue exclusively for cancer patient support.

Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of AWQAF Dubai, highlighted this partnership as crucial for advancing healthcare and alleviating financial stress for families of cancer patients. The project signifies AWQAF's commitment to healthcare investment and community welfare. In parallel, Raja Eisa Al Gurg of Al Jalila Foundation emphasized the importance of institutional collaboration to create lasting impacts, underscoring the unified efforts towards cancer care advancements in Dubai.
