Nepal's historic city of Janakpur is eagerly preparing for the grand Bibah Panchami celebration, as the main day of the week-long festival approaches. In a significant year following the Pran Pratistha of the Ram idol in Ayodhya, Janakpur, the maternal home of Goddess Sita, is abuzz with excitement and sacred anticipation.
The Janaki Temple Management Committee has announced that the city is festively adorned, with the Janaki Temple and other religious sites spectacularly decorated. As during Lord Ram's time in Treta Yug, devotees, sadhus, and saints will gather, transforming Janakpur into a spiritual hub.
Efforts to beautify and prepare the city include extensive cleaning and setting up vibrant tents. Key rituals will occur at the Janaki Temple and Bahrabigaha Rangabhumi, where a grand religious turnout is expected. This festival is pivotal for bolstering Nepal-India religious relations, culminating in ceremonies that span several days.
