Alongside Gurung's reappointment, independent lawmaker Mahabir Pun will be sworn in as Minister for the newly established Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation. Pun's advocacy for a specialized ministry focused on technological advancement has long been recognized, and he is anticipated to lead initiatives that promote innovation and technology-driven growth.
