Brazilian Foreign Minister Ernesto Araujo said on Wednesday President Jair Bolsonaro's visit to Washington this week made clear that the United States and Brazil share the same view of how to deal with the Venezuelan crisis.

Araujo said at a news conference that Brazil will act diplomatically and politically, while the United States could increase sanctions against the Venezuelan government. While U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday all option are open, Brazil's armed forces are opposed to any military intervention in Venezuela.
