World Tourism Forum kicks off in Angola

Angola is all set to host the World Tourism Forum on Thursday, May 23. It is intended to promote investment and boost the tourism sector in the South African country.

The Chairperson of World Forum, Bulut Baggi made the announcement during the starting of this year that the Republic of Angola would host the World Tourism Assembly in May this year. He said during that time that that the event would be an investment and boost for national tourism.

The world’s tourism industry leaders will address themes such as ‘Tourism in Africa, Digital or Computerised Tourism’. The event will also focus on the topics such as the ‘Role of Government in Business Trip, ‘Why Investing in Angola’, and ‘The Secret or success of tourist destinations’.

The event may set in motion the investment opportunities in the sectors of Construction, Transport, Energy and Water and Agriculture. The World Tourism Forum is a global organisation holding events in different parts of the world to boost global tourism. Some 1,500 delegates are expected to attend the event that will continue till May 25.

Angola is being chosen for hosting World Tourism Forum as the South African country has great potential in the tourism sector and that the holding of the forum could bring investment opportunities for the construction, transportation and job creation sectors. One billion US dollars is the amount that the World Tourism Forum was earlier said to be investing in Angola.
