Taiwan Monitors Vatican-China Relations Closely

Taiwan's foreign ministry said on Wednesday it was paying close attention to interactions between the Vatican and China, and continued to promote cooperation with the Holy See.

The Vatican, which only has formal diplomatic ties with Taiwan, would like to establish a permanent office in China, Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin said on Tuesday.
