Man Arrested for Allegedly Defaming PM Modi and CM Adityanath
Mohammad Asif has been arrested in Ballia for making objectionable comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The arrest followed a complaint by Nikhil Gupta, who also accused Asif of threatening him and spreading the conversation on social media.

Mohammad Asif has been taken into custody after being accused of making derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, officials disclosed on Saturday.
The arrest came after Nikhil Gupta, from Maniyar town, lodged a complaint. Charges include sections 504 and 506 of the IPC.
According to police, Gupta claimed that Asif called him on June 1, the day of Ballia's Lok Sabha elections, and not only made unacceptable comments but also threatened him with dire consequences if he didn't comply.
